🎨 Interview Process: UI/UX Engineer

✅ Stage 1 – Introductory Interview (Total: 1 hour)

• First 30 minutes:
  • Introduction & discussion around your background, experience, and design thinking.
  • Focus on collaboration, problem solving ability, what you have learned, and vision.
• Next 30 minutes:
  • Portfolio walkthrough via Figma, Dribbble, or personal site.
  • Discussion around your design decisions, workflows, and handoff process.
  • Focus on: UI consistency, UX rationale, responsiveness, accessibility, and how you collaborate with developers.

✅ Stage 2 – Design & Technical Deep Dive (1.5 hours)

• If the candidate is promising after Stage 1, we schedule a 1.5-hour in-depth design/UX interview.
• This includes:
  • UI/UX patterns and heuristics
  • System thinking (e.g., design systems, component reuse in Figma)
  • Problem-solving in product UX flows (e.g., onboarding, errors, edge cases)
  • Accessibility & visual hierarchy
  • Developer handoff readiness (tokens, assets, variants)
  • Real-world constraints (timelines, responsive behavior, localization)
  • No live design test – we’re not into design theatre.

🧠 Optional: Follow-up Step – Paid Trial Period

Depending on the outcome of Stage 2, we may proceed with the following step:

🅱️ Paid Trial Period

• Instead of a take-home design challenge, we offer a part-time trial period at Sensey, where you’ll collaborate on a real product flow or design system task.

• Typical setup: 2 days per week for 1 month (e.g., 16 hours/week).

• Fixed payment: €400/month

• You’re not expected to leave your current role during this time.

  The goal is to explore team chemistry, quality standards, and async collaboration in Figma — in a real, respectful work setup.

• We will respect your working hours at your other company and will not plan any meetings during your working hours.
